⭐ 6 weeks, 44 travel outfits, 1 carry-on!

Happy New Year… or is it weird to say that on January 23rd? 🥳

I’m going to say it anyway because this is my first official email of 2026 and wowww did I miss writing these.

Seriously. I missed you. I missed this.

So let's catch up!

The last email I sent was on December 26th, and since then we basically lived a whole lifetime in Southeast Asia. We hopped around, ate incredible food, sweat… a lot, and even got sick at one point.

We rang in the New Year in Hanoi… from bed 😅

Like, fully horizontal, praying we wouldn’t throw up or 💩 ourselves.

Not exactly the NYE vibe we imagined, but no worries. We recovered, bounced back, and still had an absolutely epic trip.

And when I say epic, I mean it. This part of the world has my whole heart. The energy, the food, the chaos, the colors... I love it all so much.

On January 10th, we started making our way back to the U.S. with a 3-day layover in Doha, which honestly? Genius move. Highly recommend breaking up long-haul travel like that if you can.

The 16-hour Doha → Miami flight was still long… but nothing compared to the 30+ hour travel day it took us to get to Asia in the first place. (you can read about that crazy journey here)

We spent a week in Boca Raton, FL with G's fam, and today I'm writing this email from Florence, Kentucky! Where it's cold as f*ck but my soul is warm because I'm with my sis & nieces.

In a few days, we’re heading back to our beloved Mexico (finally 😌), where we’ll be bouncing around the Yucatán Peninsula for a couple of months… and thinking about where to call home until summer. San Miguel de Allende and Puerto Vallarta are top of the list at the moment.

Those potential decisions actually made my current packing situation kind of tricky. I mean, how does one pack a suitcase for an unknown destination??? (I'll share how, no worries!)

But let's not get ahead. This email is not about packing for Mexico. It's about what I packed for 6 weeks in Asia!

Because this one was… different. There were a LOT of things to consider:

– multiple climates (highest temp was 92 - lowest was 57)

– wildly different activities: city days, beach days, scuba diving, super long travel days

– sweating, walking, sitting, eating, repeating

And somehow… I nailed it.

I’m allowed to say that 😅

To add to the challenge, I only had a couple of hours to pack. So I took things out last minute, made a few “hmm… is this a mistake?” choices and had doubts about the weather...

Honestly? I didn’t feel fully confident until about two weeks into the trip.

But once I settled in… everything worked.

✅ I loved my outfits.

✅ I felt like myself.

✅ I never felt underdressed, uncomfortable, or annoyed at what I packed.

So here it is... the final 6-week Asia packing list:

Tops: (8)

Bottoms: (5)

Dresses/Jumpsuits: (3)

Shoes: (3)

Layering Pieces: (3)

A huge reason this worked so well is that I had access to a washer almost everywhere. That alone makes long trips so much easier, and honestly it changes how I think about packing entirely.

And yes, I documented every outfit.

I created 44 outfits with just 22 pieces, and wore every single thing multiple times during my 6-week trip.

Here are some of my favorite outfits with the best pieces I packed (the ones with the 🏆 next to them)

If you want the full breakdown — the context, how I decided what made the cut, frequent questions I get asked about long trips AND photos of all the outfits — I put everything into a full blog post for you.

One quick question, when it comes to packing or getting dressed…

What’s the thing you struggle with the most right now?

You can hit reply and vent (love this for us), or just answer with a sentence or two. I read every reply, and it helps me shape these emails so they’re actually useful for you.

And if the thing you struggle with is related to one of these ⬇️, then simply just pick one:

And if you have any ideas, struggles, questions, or “can you PLEEEEASE talk about this?” moments, just reply to this email and tell me.

This space exists for you. I respect your inbox, and only want to share useful content.

And the more I know what’s on your mind, the better I can show up. (I genuinely care)

Thanks for being here. Feels good to be back 💖

See you next Friday ok? I'm thinking of writing about the right order to wear the things you pack so you can learn how to maximize every piece in your suitcase.

XO,

Aimara

>>> PS: pretty please don't forget to answer the question above or reply to this email letting me know what you need help with.

Hello beautiful ladies 💖 I’ve been thinking about how to wrap up this year with you, and honestly… all I kept coming back to was gratitude. Real gratitude. The kind that hits you when you look back and realize that at the start of 2025, there were around 600 of you here… and now we’re closing the year with over 1,700. It still blows my mind. I don’t take a single one of you for granted. I’m genuinely grateful that you let me into your inbox every week. It’s something I never assume or expect....

Hola Reader, If you want 2026 to be the year you finally stop researching Mexican residency and actually get it done, this email is for you. Over the past year, we’ve been helping people in our community go from “we’re overwhelmed and don’t know where to begin” to “we just got approved for residency!” Along the way, we kept hearing the same things from people reaching out for help: “This has been years in the making, I really don’t want to mess this up!” “I keep procrastinating because I...

Let’s be honest... Most “how to build a capsule wardrobe” advice sounds the same. Stop shopping so much. Stop following trends. Stop buying duplicates. And sure, those things for sure help. But they’re not the real problem. Because if it were that simple, everyone would have Pinterest-perfect closets by now, right? But the truth is, building a capsule wardrobe isn’t really about organizing clothes. It’s about unlearning habits we’ve built over years — the need for quick fixes, the fear of not...
