Hey there gorgeous π Happy Friday! Hope you had a lovely week. Today we're going to be diving into the world of outfit formulas! This will not only change the way you look at your closet, but also the way you create outfits moving forward... Ready? Let's start with the basics ππΌ What Is An Outfit Formula?Much like combining the ingredients from a recipe to create a meal, an outfit formula is a combination of pieces to create a complete look. Itβs basically like meal planning for your closet! Isn't this brilliant? Having a few go-to outfit formulas that align with your lifestyle and personal style, can help you get dressed faster every day. Over time you'll accumulate a handful of outfit formulas that work for you and that will help you feel more confident because only YOU know what makes YOU feel good! βοΈ My 3 Favorite Outfit Formulas For TravelingOutfit Formula #1: Dress + White Sneakers + Accessories Of Your Choice Keep it simple but have fun. And never underestimate the power of cute accessories (crossbody bag, statement earrings, headband, etc) and the power of styling your hair π Outfit Formula #2: T-Shirt + Any Skirt + Sandals + Accessories Of Your Choice You can absolutely wear the same color for top and bottom, but you can also pick a printed piece. That's why printed pieces are always so useful and I recommend packing at least 2 different prints. Just make sure that your printed pieces match your neutrals. Outfit Formula #3: Same Color Top & Bottom (Any Piece!) + White Sneakers (Or Sandals) This is one of my favorite ways to create new looks. That's why it's so important to pack neutral colors that match. You can do this with any kind of top, and any kind of bottom. You know by now that I love black and dark green, but feel free to play with what you have/like and as always, don't forget your accessories! When it comes to outfit formulas, you can get as specific as you want. I usually keep it very generic, but if getting specific will help you get started, then by all means, go for it! Some examples of cute and specific outfit formulas would look like this: Graphic T-shirt + Blazer + Jeans + Sneakers + Headbandβ βJoggers + Ruffled Top + Sneakers + Statement Earrings (If you wear the same color for top and bottom, this looks like a jumpsuit!) βT-shirt + Maxi Skirt + Sneakers + Denim Jacket + Statement Earringsβ Long Cardigan + T-Shirt + Spanx Leggings + Sneakers + Headbandβ Cami + Wide Leg Pants + Birkenstocks + Headband βButton Down Shirt (open or with a front knot) + Cami + Printed Pants + Birkenstocksβ Ok, I'll stop now π I don't always specify colors because that does depend on what you already have in your closet ;) I hope all of this makes sense. Tips When Creating Your Own Outfit Formulas1οΈβ£ You don't need to use the exact same pieces. For example, if you see an outfit formula that says 'white T-shirt' you can also use a different color T-shirt OR you can just use a white top instead. Stick to either the piece or the color. 2οΈβ£ Before you shop for anything, look inside your closet! We tend to forget often about the things we own if we haven't seen them in a while. And again, because you don't need the exact same pieces you can just use whatever you have. 3οΈβ£ Make them your own! I encourage you to write your own outfit formulas. It's not as hard as it sounds! You simply have to write down the pieces you regularly use to create your favorite outfits. I promise it will help you get dressed so much faster. I wrote this blog post about outfit formulas a long time ago, but I just updated it and I hope you find it useful. I cover 5 outfit formulas that worked for me in Turkey in 2021 and more general styling tips. Full disclosure about that blog post: I didn't travel with carry-on. For the first year of our full time travel adventures, I traveled with a big suitcase. And because I didn't love it, I switched to carry-on after year 2. So if you ever see one of my older blog posts and think 'wow, she packed so many things inside a little carry-on' is because I did pack way too many things... inside a big suitcase... and part of my husband's π But now I know better β¬οΈ Anyways, what do you think? Have any questions? Just hit reply to this email! I love to hear from you βΊοΈ I mentioned last week that I was at 'home' in Florida. We consider my in-laws' house our home because this is where we stay the longest when we're in the US, and we also have a small closet here. So next week I'll be sharing exactly what's inside that closet π See you next Friday! XO, Aimara ππ»ββοΈ Connect With Me:

Buenos dΓas amigos! Once again, we're saying hello from vibrant little Guanajuato. We've loved this city since arriving here, and we're already thinking that our January 31st departure is approaching way too quickly! Just look at this little colonial gem π€ We booked 4 weeks in Guanajuato, and the truth is we always go into these longer stays kind of blind. But we've been lucky that this place is (almost) exactly what we were looking for. It checks off so many boxes and we've found it so easy...
